Compounder (Perfume Blender) | On-site, Manchester | Full Time

Contract: 12-month FTC (potential for permanent role)

Got a sharp nose and an even sharper eye for detail? We're hiring a Compounder to join our Perfumery team in Manchester.

About the role

As a Compounder, you'll be at the heart of our fragrance production process, precisely weighing and blending raw materials to bring formulations to life, batch by batch. You'll work closely with our formulation and quality teams, following batch sheets and SOPs to make sure every compound meets spec, every time.

What you'll be doing

  • 🧪 Preparing fragrance compounds by accurately weighing and blending raw materials to formulation specifications
  • 📋 Following batch sheets, SOPs, and work instructions
  • 🔍 Monitoring batch quality throughout the compounding process and flagging any deviations
  • 📦 Supporting stock rotation, inventory control, and raw material replenishment
  • 💡 Contributing ideas to continuous improvement initiatives that boost efficiency and cut waste
  • ✅ Upholding health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
  • 💻 Logging production data and completing documentation using our systems

What we're looking for

Someone who works accurately, with real attention to detail and a solutions-first mindset

  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in the quality of their work
  • Comfortable working independently, but just as happy collaborating with the team
  • At ease with computers and standard weighing/operating equipment
  • Confident written and spoken English (you'll need to follow UK H&S regulations and work instructions)
  • NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC, or an equivalent vocational qualification or a comparable qualification
