Pharmacist for Compounding Team
We are looking to hire a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our compounding team in Verda Park, Wallingford.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy. If you like problem-solving and implementing transformative solutions, this role is for you! You will join a growing team and have a meaningful impact on our patients and customers, reporting in to the company’s Superintendent Pharmacist.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with our Compounding, Pharmacy and Quality teams to ensure medicines are prepared safely, accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Acting as the pharmacist within our compounding operation and providing professional oversight of compounding activities.
- Reviewing prescriptions and confirming the clinical and pharmaceutical suitability of compounded preparations.
- Performing pharmacist checks and supporting the final release of compounded medicines.
- Providing pharmaceutical advice to the compounding team and supporting resolution of issues during preparation.
- Ensuring compounding activities are carried out in accordance with approved SOPs, formulations and batch documentation.
- Supporting in-process checks, batch documentation, deviations and investigations where required.
- Working closely with the Quality team to maintain high standards of documentation, traceability and patient safety.
- Supporting the development and introduction of new compounded formulations and processes.
- Contributing to continuous improvement across the compounding operation.
- Acting as the Responsible Pharmacist for the wider Voy pharmacy when required, including normal dispensing and non-compounding pharmacy activities.
- Supporting prescription screening, dispensing, clinical queries and other pharmacist duties across the pharmacy when operationally required.

What we need from you
- Registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
- Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise
- A passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team-centred approach
- Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
- Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy
- Able to work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, compounding operatives and Quality colleagues.
- Willing to work across both compounding and standard pharmacy operations depending on business and patient needs.
- Experience in compounding, manufacturing, aseptic services, quality assurance or another controlled pharmaceutical environment would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right pharmacist.
