Role Description
This full-time Compressor Service Engineer role is hybrid, based in Aylesbury with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial air compressors, nitrogen generators, and related equipment at customer sites and in the workshop. The Compressor Service Engineer will perform diagnostics, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and safety.

- Completing service reports
- Maintaining accurate records
- Advising customers on system performance
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
Other Responsibilities
- Liaising with the internal team on spare parts requirements
- Following company procedures
- Upholding high standards of customer service and compliance
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills relevant to compressed air systems, rotating machinery, or industrial equipment.
- Experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on compressors or similar plant.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
- Good IT skills for service reporting, documentation, and remote communication with the office and customers.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Comfort working independently in the field and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Full, valid driver’s license suitable for regular travel to customer sites.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or similar); prior experience in compressed air or industrial service engineering is highly beneficial.
