Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Research Scientist or Director level professional to join a leading organisation in the pharmaceutical and drug discovery sector. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with proven experience in developing and applying modern simulation methods within an industrial drug discovery setting. The role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge computational approaches to support innovative drug development.
Based within a dynamic team, you will play a key part in advancing computational strategies, either through hands-on research or high-level strategy and management as a director. This role is suited to candidates seeking to make a meaningful impact in the field by applying their expertise in simulation techniques to real-world challenges.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the Research Scientist / Director will be varied, however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Drive the development and application of modern simulation methods (e.g., FEP/TI) within drug discovery projects to improve understanding and success rates.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate computational methods into the broader drug development process.
- For director-level candidates, lead strategic initiatives, manage teams, and develop new computational approaches to enhance research capabilities.
- As the role requires, provide expert guidance on innovative simulation techniques and their implementation in project workflows.

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist / Director we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific or computational field (e.g., Computational Chemistry, Molecular Modelling, Bioinformatics).
- Proven industry experience in developing or applying modern simulation methods (e.g., FEP/TI) within a drug discovery context.
- Extensive experience in industrial drug discovery, with a track record of successful application and development of computational approaches, and for director-level, demonstrated management and strategic experience.
