A leading engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Computational Design & Structural BIM Technician to support the delivery of complex and technically challenging projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative team, playing a key role in developing digital workflows and delivering coordinated structural BIM models for architecturally ambitious projects.

The Role

The successful Computational Design & Structural BIM Technician will be involved in creating and managing advanced parametric models, developing interoperability workflows between platforms, and supporting the efficient delivery of large-scale BIM projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • Has advanced proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper;
  • Has experience developing workflows between Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit;
  • Can translate complex parametric and freeform geometry into accurate, coordinated BIM models;
  • Has strong working knowledge of Revit Structure and structural BIM delivery;
  • Has experience managing large-scale Revit models and complex project information;
  • Understands best practices for collaborative modelling and multi-user BIM environments;
  • Has excellent attention to detail and a passion for digital innovation within structural engineering;
  • Has the right to work in the UK.

As the successful Computational Design & Structural BIM Technician, you will:

  • Develop and maintain workflows between Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit;
  • Create and manage accurate structural BIM models for complex engineering projects;
  • Work alongside engineers, technicians and design teams to deliver coordinated project information;
  • Convert advanced geometry into practical, buildable BIM elements whilst maintaining model integrity;
  • Support model management strategies across large and technically demanding projects;
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within digital design and BIM processes.
