Adeptus Talent is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and technology client for an experienced and highly motivated CFD Engineer / Project Engineer to join an exciting 12-month turbomachinery development project.
Your Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day technical and delivery interface between engineering disciplines and our technical partners.
- The role is responsible for ensuring that project scope, technical requirements, cost, schedule, risk, quality, and configuration are managed and reported in a controlled and traceable way.
- Able to work independently and set own project outline and targets; generate detailed reports of work carried out, conclusions and next steps.
- Produce reports of high quality and present analysis to CFD-Aero department and clients as required.
- Contribute to innovative engineering solutions for continuous improvement of department capability, tools and processes.
- Lead or support technical reviews and project tracking reports.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including drawings, calculations, test procedures, test reports, manufacturing packs, inspection plans, operating instructions, and customer reports.

What we’re looking for:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail. We are particularly interested in candidates who can be creative in the application of thermodynamics, physics and technology to solve diverse problems.
- Graduate in Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Challenges data and current ways of thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of CAD, Computational Fluid Dynamics (OpenFOAM preferred) software and aerodynamics applications.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to form good relationships with peers.
- A good understanding of basic Microsoft Office packages

Beneficial:
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Matlab, MS SQL Server, etc.
- Experience of high-performance turbomachinery propulsion systems.
