CAD Designer - Bespoke Joinery £45,000 - £50,000 + 33 Days (rising to 38) + Progression to Manager
Loughborough, Leicestershire

Are you a Senior CAD Designer from a Bespoke Joinery, Furniture or Fit-Out background looking for a varied role, with a great culture, an early finish on a Friday and a clear route to progress to Drawing Office Manager?

You’ll be producing detailed, production-ready drawings for high-end commercial, residential and public-space projects, working closely with project managers, designers, workshop teams and installers to ensure everything is accurate, practical and ready for manufacture.

This is a key hire for a growing business with a full order book and significant expansion plans. Backed by a larger group but retaining the culture of a close-knit, family-run company, they offer a defined route to management and the opportunity to work on exciting bespoke projects across multiple bespoke sectors.

The Role 📐

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings for bespoke joinery, furniture and fit-out projects
  • Create accurate production, manufacturing and installation drawing packs
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, workshop and shopfloor teams
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve technical and design queries
  • Clear scope to progress to Drawing Office Manager as the business expands

The Person ✅

  • CAD Design experience within Bespoke Joinery, Furniture, Fit-Out or a similar environment
  • SolidWorks experience is preferred; but they are open to a similar 3D package
  • Good technical understanding of joinery construction, materials and manufacturing processes
  • Confident communicating with designers, project teams and shopfloor staff
