Currently we have an exciting opportunity to become part of a unique multidisciplinary environment, working alongside model makers, scenic sculptors, mechanical engineers, designers and gaming software programmers to create innovative experiences and installations for clients around the globe.
The Role
As a CAD Designer, you will play a key role in taking projects from initial concepts through to detailed technical drawings and manufacture, while working closely with the wider design, engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce conceptual and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Produce detailed bill of materials for procurement.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, and workshop teams to develop practical solutions.
- Attend client and project sites when required to assist with surveys and site meetings.
- Follow the company's integrated management system, processes and procedures.
- Manage individual exhibits and workloads methodically, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Contribute positively to the wider Design Team and promote a collaborative and friendly working environment.
- Prepare assembly instructions and Operation & Maintenance manuals where required.

About You
We are looking for someone who can design and think in 3D, with a practical understanding of how materials, manufacturing processes and different construction methods come together.
You will be a creative and methodical problem solver who enjoys taking an idea and developing it into something that can actually be built.
Essential Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year's experience using SolidWorks.
- Experience producing conceptual and technical drawings.
- Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and construction methods.
- Strong 3D design and visualisation skills.
- Ability to solve problems and develop practical design solutions.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage individual projects and workloads effectively.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
- A positive attitude, consistent drive and personal motivation.
