Survey CAD Manager

Role Overview

The Survey CAD Manager will manage the creation, control, and distribution of survey and engineering data across a major infrastructure project. The role is responsible for establishing CAD standards, improving information workflows, and ensuring project teams have access to accurate, reliable, and compliant data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and quality assurance of survey and engineering CAD information.
  • Act as the interface between survey, design, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Develop and maintain CAD standards, procedures, and best practice guidance.
  • Ensure design and survey data is correctly transferred and used throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the management of utility and subsurface information to support safe construction activities.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance on CAD and survey software.
  • Manage CAD systems, licences, and related digital resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement in information management and project delivery processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in engineering survey, CAD management, digital engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit.
  • Understanding of BIM and information management principles, including ISO 19650.
  • Experience working with survey, utility, and engineering data.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders and maintain technical standards.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience of large infrastructure projects.
