CAD Technician – Roofing & Insulation
Up to £45,000 + Bonus
Fully Remote
🇬🇧 Occasional travel to UK company sites
Tristram Parker Recruitment is working with a leading UK manufacturer of high-performance roofing, waterproofing and insulation systems as they look to appoint an additional CAD Technician to their growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills and ideally some previous experience within the construction, roofing or building products sector.
The successful candidate will support the technical team in designing and calculating bespoke flat roof insulation and tapered insulation schemes across a wide range of commercial projects, including major developments within the retail, education and healthcare sectors.

The role will involve:
- Producing CAD drawings and designs for flat roofing and insulation schemes
- Designing and calculating bespoke tapered insulation systems
- Supporting the technical team across multiple live projects
- Interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Working closely with colleagues, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Developing the technical knowledge required to independently manage projects
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working within a contractor, roofing or wider construction environment, as this practical understanding can be hugely beneficial when designing workable solutions.

Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Previous CAD / technical design experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Roofing, insulation or building envelope experience would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
Full product and technical training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for somebody looking to develop their career within a specialist technical environment.
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus
Location: Fully Remote
