CAD Technician
West Yorkshire - LS27
£30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)
Full-Time | Permanent
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in aluminium, steel and timber products for the transport and manufacturing sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD Designer, Technical Draughtsperson or Engineering Design Technician looking to develop their career within a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and amend accurate 2D CAD drawings for aluminium extrusion dies.
- Create technical drawings for customer quotations and manufacturing.
- Provide technical support to the Sales and Production teams.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, manufacturable and meet customer specifications.
- Utilise Fusion 360 and AutoCAD LT to produce high-quality designs.
- Support prototype development using 3D printing technology where required.
- Maintain drawing records and documentation in line with company procedures.

Skills & Experience
We're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- CAD Technician
- CAD Designer
- Technical Draughtsperson
- Design Engineer
- Engineering Technician
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Fusion 360
- Experience using AutoCAD LT
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable
- Experience within the metal industry, aluminium extrusion or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of engineering or production processes.
- Experience with 3D printing or prototype development.
