CNC Setter Operator

Monday to Friday flexible start and finish, core hours being Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (39hr week)

£18 - £21 per hour + Overtime means potential OTE of £45,000 - £55,500 per annum

We are excited to be recruiting for a leading business based in the Malvern area who specialise in critical component manufacturing (low volume, high value precision made pieces of product – this is a place where you will take great pride in being apart of and what you manufacture.

Due to growth within the business, our client is now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC machine operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform precision machining operations. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Skill Set Needed for CNC Setter Operator

  • CNC machining
  • 5+ years’ experience in CNC Milling
  • In-depth experience on CNC controls (Haas would be advantageous)
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages
  • Excellent working knowledge of G/M code (ISO CNC) machine control

Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are in place.
  • Operation: Operate CNC mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.
  • Programming: Load and modify CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products against drawings and models to ensure all features are complete.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines or the machining process to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Other/Benefits

  • Paid overtime, normal hourly rate during the week and time and a half on Saturdays
  • Annual Leave of 20 days plus bank holidays, increases by 1 day for each year of employment up to a maximum of 25 days plus bank holidays
