Skilled CNC Machinists

Due to an increased long-term order book my client are seeking Skilled CNC Machinists to join the team at their Dorset facility.

They are looking for Fully Skilled CNC Millers (preferably with Heidenhain or Fanuc experience) and Fully Skilled CNC Turners (preferably with Fanuc experience) to programme, set, and operate a range of CNC machining centres.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team committed to high-quality precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring parts meet required tolerances and quality standards
  • Performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working collaboratively with Quality and Production teams to meet deadlines and targets

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for practical, experienced machinists who are confident working to tight tolerances in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Essential:

  • Fully skilled CNC Milling or Turning experience
  • Programming, setting, and operating capabilities
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a professional work ethic

Desirable:

  • Experience with Heidenhain (Milling) or Fanuc (Turning/Milling) control systems
  • Background in low to medium batch production
  • Previous experience in the Aerospace, Defence, or Medical sectors

Minimum of 39 hours per week

Core working hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 1 pm Friday

Hourly Rate: £18-£25 Per Hour
