Tees Components is a precision mechanical engineering company established in 1963, known for operating some of the largest CNC machines in the UK. Based on a six-acre Redcar & Cleveland site that runs days and nights, the company supports a wide range of projects from major energy and marine contracts to rapid local jobs and specialist pressure testing. With heavy investment in a modern machine shop and lifting equipment up to 70 tonnes, Tees Components delivers complex, high-profile work for industries including rail, renewable energy, nuclear (new build and decommissioning), and marine. The business is powered by a team of around 55 highly skilled, apprentice-trained mechanical engineers and supporting staff who bring deep technical expertise and a strong focus on innovation.

Role Description
The CNC Machinist will set, program, and operate CNC machines (milling or turning), to produce precision components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
This role suits an experienced machinist looking for secure, good quality employment with good conditions. Being a machinist at Tees Components is suited to someone who wants to continue learning, expand their experience and knowledge, and gain more skills. Qualifications
- Ability to set, program, and operate CNC machine tools (millers, horizontal or vertical borers, lathes)
- Demonstrated experience in Milling and/or Turning, including reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including inspection of components and use of measuring tools.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in machining, engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site, manage time effectively, and adapt to shifting priorities and project requirements.
