About the Company

First Achieve’s Engineering division is proud to be working with our long-standing client based in Glasgow, who are actively seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their highly skilled manufacturing team in Glasgow.

About the Role

CNC Hurco Miller Glasgow. To carry out machining using our range of both Hurco 3 & 5 axis and Siemens 3 axis CNC machining centres in order to produce components. The suitable candidate will be machining to various designs, and quantities. We are looking for an effective communicator, who can work both individually and as part of a team in a busy factory environment.

Qualifications

Time served recognised Engineering apprenticeship preferable, relevant hands on experience in a manufacturing environment essential.

Required

  • Able to interpret technical drawings
  • Min 5 years’ experience in a workshop environment
  • Demonstrable Hurco and Siemens CNC milling experience including ability to both programme and operate
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Effective team contributor
  • Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC milling machines, ideally Hurco
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial engineering environment

Pay range and compensation package

  • Join a well-established and experienced engineering team
  • Competitive pay - Up to £20.63 PH
  • Day hours: Monday to Friday (Early Finish Friday)
  • 37 hour work week
  • 35 holiday days per annum
  • Regular overtime available
