Teacher of Computer Science
Location: Victoria Campus, London
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000
Start Date: January 2027 or earlier
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 4:45pm
About the Role
Ada is seeking a specialist Computer Science Teacher who is passionate about teaching the next generation of outstanding computer scientists and digital pioneers. You will work closely with our experienced Computer Science team to deliver our core computing curriculum, teaching on the T-Level in Digital Software Development, OCR A-Level Computer Science, or BTEC Level 3 Computing courses. Computing is core to all of our pathways, and each student studies it for at least 10 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science to Ada students while maintaining outstanding standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Prepare high-quality learning resources that reflect the Ada Approach to Collaborative Professionalism.
- Provide academic and pastoral support for students during and outside of lessons to ensure continuous progress.
- Serve as a Team Lead (Form Tutor) to support the personal development and academic progress of your students through mentoring and intervention.
- Incorporate industry support into classroom teaching through guest speakers, industry visits, subject competitions, and active participation in Ada's industry projects.
- Provide constructive feedback on student progress that systematically checks understanding and provides direct strategies for improvement.
- Participate in arrangements for preparing students for public examinations and assessing them.
- Teach other digital courses, such as Creative Digital Media or skills sessions.

Requirements
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE, or Lecturer qualification (QTLS).
- Experience delivering Computer Science/Computing at Level 3 with an excellent track record of results.
- Genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.
- An educational vision aligned with the college's high aspirations and a desire to innovate and try new approaches.
- Strong collaborative working skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
