Role Description
The Computer Science Tutor role at Tutors Today is a remote, contract position focused on supporting learners in computer science and related subjects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering engaging online lessons
- Explaining complex concepts in accessible ways
- Adapting teaching methods to meet different learning styles and academic levels
- Assisting students with coursework, exam preparation, programming assignments, and problem-solving exercises
- Providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
- Maintaining clear communication with students (and where relevant, parents or guardians)
- Tracking progress
- Updating lesson plans based on learner needs and goals

Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter knowledge in Computer Science and related fields
- Proficiency in Programming and the ability to guide students through coding tasks and projects
- Solid foundation in Mathematics to support algorithmic thinking and problem solving
- Effective Communication and Tutoring skills to explain concepts clearly and build learner confidence
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience, preferably with GCSE or A-level students
- Comfort with remote teaching tools and online learning platforms
- Ability to plan structured lessons, manage time effectively, and work independently
- Relevant academic background (e.g., studying or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline)
