Department: Engineering

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Middleton Stoney, United Kingdom

Reporting To: Computer Vision Manager

Description

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you'll join a collaborative team developing SLAM, perception and sensor-fusion capabilities for real-world navigation and mapping products. The role sits at the intersection of computer vision, navigation, geospatial data and embedded systems.

With the support from experienced colleagues, you'll contribute to products and technologies used across automotive testing, autonomous systems, surveying and mobile mapping applications.

If you've worked on projects that combine LIDAR, Cameras, GPS, accelerometers or gyroscopes on a moving platform, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Apply software engineering, mathematical and analytical skills to solve interesting technical problems and support the continued development of OXTS products.
  • Help us developing software that combines LIDAR, cameras, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), inertial sensors and advanced mathematical techniques to deliver highly accurate positioning, orientation, motion and mapping data.
  • Contribute to technical investigations, algorithm evaluation, experimental analysis and innovation activities that support future product development and technical roadmaps.
  • Take responsibility for technical deliverables, have autonomy over your day-to-day engineering work, and keep growing your expertise while collaborating with colleagues on shared team and project goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
