Concept Developer – Bakery

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Are you passionate about creating innovative bakery products that consumers love? I'm currently recruiting for a Concept Developer to join a leading bakery manufacturer supplying some of the UK's biggest retailers. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of new product concepts from initial brief through to customer presentation, working within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

The Role Will Involve:

  • Developing innovative bakery concepts in response to retailer and consumer trends.
  • Creating products that balance creativity, quality, and commercial viability.
  • Working closely with Process, Technical, Commercial, and Operations teams to bring concepts to life.
  • Presenting products confidently to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitoring food trends, ingredients, and market activity to generate fresh ideas.
  • Supporting customer meetings, concept sessions, and product tastings.
  • Ensuring concepts align with cost, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.

  • Previous experience within Product Development or Concept Development in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Bakery experience would be highly advantageous.
  • A creative mindset with a genuine passion for food innovation.
  • Experience working with major UK retailers.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
