Role Description

The Concessions Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Edinburgh, responsible for overseeing daily operations and performance of Max Mara concessions within partner retail locations. This role includes managing sales targets, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that brand standards are consistently implemented across all concession spaces. The Concessions Manager will lead and support team members, coordinate staffing and scheduling, and provide coaching to drive customer service excellence. Day-to-day tasks involve collaborating with store and regional management, reviewing sales reports, optimizing product assortments and visual merchandising, and implementing promotional activities. The role also requires handling operational issues, maintaining strong relationships with host retailers, and ensuring an elevated customer experience aligned with Max Mara brand values.

  • Strong customer-facing experience, with proven Customer Service skills and a focus on creating a premium in-store experience.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and external retail partners.
  • Experience managing Concessions or similar retail environments, with understanding of partner-store dynamics and brand representation.
  • Competence in Budgeting and sales analysis, with the ability to manage targets, control costs, and interpret performance reports.
  • Sales skills with a track record of achieving or exceeding KPIs, and experience in implementing sales strategies and promotions.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in fashion or luxury retail is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in operations and merchandising.
  • Comfort with retail technology and basic digital tools for reporting and communication.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Relevant education or vocational training in retail management, business, or a related field is an advantage.
