About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Concierge to join our team at India House, Manchester (M1 6LG) on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Estates Services Manager, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and secure living environment for the residents at India House. Key duties of this role include access control, CCTV monitoring, and communal cleaning to support the day-to-day operation of the building.

Our concierge team members work shifts ensuring we are there for our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be covering a combination of day shifts (8.30AM - 8.30PM) and night shifts (8.30PM - 8.30AM) on a rota basis.

What we are looking for

A confident and professional communicator who can provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors and handle feedback and concerns in a positive and proactive manner.

Essential:

  • Previous Concierge experience in a residential setting.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Good team working skills and flexible approach to work.
  • Good level of IT skills and knowledge of CCTV operation.
  • Direct experience of working with customers and dealing with customer feedback in a service delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of health and safety compliance.
  • Good oral and written communication.

Desirable:

  • Experience of using Dwellant (concierge software).
  • Previous experience of operating CCTV, including compliance with the Information Commissioner’s CCTV Code of Practice.
  • Contractor management and experience in the delivery of estate cleaning, caretaking and maintenance services.
  • Experience of Health and Safety legislation and best practice in the delivery of estate services.
