About The Role
As a Concierge – Ad-Hoc Cover in Reading, you will deliver a polished front-of-house service at a residential development. Your primary duty is to warmly greet residents and visitors, manage enquiries via phone and email, and ensure the seamless operation of daily building activities. You will handle keys and parcels securely, coordinate contractor access, and address customer concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary. This contract role offers £13.50 per hour for 12-hour shifts, with hours scheduled on an as-required basis. Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to work flexibly across varied shifts. Prior concierge or front-of-house experience is advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Concierge to provide ad-hoc cover at a residential development in Reading.
You will be responsible for delivering a welcoming front-of-house service, assisting residents and visitors, managing day-to-day enquiries and supporting the smooth running of the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service.
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries.
- Respond to customer queries and concerns professionally, escalating when required.
- Manage keys, parcels, and on-site assets securely and accurately.
- Support contractors and building access arrangements.
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems.
- Report maintenance, security, health & safety, or compliance issues.
- Support general property and facilities management duties as required.
- Maintain a professional and presentable reception area.
- Work flexibly and provide additional support when required.

Essential Requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Basic IT skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
- Ability to travel to the Reading location.
Desirable
- Previous Concierge, Reception, Front of House, or Customer Service experience.
- Residential, property, or corporate experience.
- Experience using property management systems.
- First Aid or Fire Marshal training.
