Be the Warm Welcome — and the Fond Farewell

At Glasgow Marriott Hotel, we believe the best guest experiences are created by people who genuinely care.

As our Concierge & Guest Experience Host, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces our guests see and one of the last they remember. From a warm welcome at arrival to those final “have a safe journey” moments, you’ll help make every stay feel personal, effortless and memorable.

You’ll know where to find the best of Glasgow — or be curious enough to find out. Whether it’s recommending a hidden gem, securing a last-minute restaurant booking, arranging transport, celebrating a special occasion or simply knowing the perfect place for a great coffee, you’ll be the person guests turn to.

This is a role for someone who loves people, thrives on variety and takes pride in making a difference. It’s about anticipating needs, creating connections and turning great service into genuine guest experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create a warm, confident and genuinely welcoming arrival experience for every guest.
  • Be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for Glasgow, sharing personalised recommendations for restaurants, attractions, events, shopping, nightlife and local experiences.
  • Handle guest requests with energy and initiative — from transport and reservations to celebrations, experiences and those unexpected last-minute asks.
  • Make every interaction feel personal, professional and effortless, whether you’re welcoming a returning guest or helping someone discover Glasgow for the first time.
  • Keep the lobby and Concierge area polished, organised and welcoming throughout the day.
  • Work closely with Front Office and wider hotel teams to create a seamless guest journey from arrival through to departure.
  • Use your initiative to resolve challenges quickly and positively, knowing when to take ownership and when to bring in the right colleague.
  • Build strong relationships with guests and colleagues, creating memorable moments that go beyond expectations.
  • Share your knowledge and experience with new team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Represent the Glasgow Marriott Hotel with pride, professionalism and genuine Scottish hospitality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
