Concrete Dispatch Coordinator

Location: Cardiff (Central Office Based)

Take the Lead in a Fast-Paced Operational Environment

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Concrete Dispatch Coordinator to support and coordinate our team of Concrete Dispatch Coordinators while helping to ensure the efficient production, batching, planning and distribution of concrete across the region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving operational environment and enjoys balancing customer service, people coordination, planning and production support. Working closely with the Operations & Distribution Manager and District Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Based in our central Cardiff office, you will help deliver outstanding customer experiences while supporting safe, efficient and high-quality concrete production and distribution.

What You'll Be Doing

Operational Support & Production Coordination

  • Support the remote coordination of concrete batching activities using established systems and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring batching accuracy, production performance and KPI achievement.
  • Work closely with Plant Supervisors and Operational Teams to support production planning and identify potential capacity or material risks.
  • Help optimise plant utilisation while supporting customer supply requirements.
  • Ensure remote batching and on-site production activities are delivered to the highest operational and technical standards.

Distribution & Planning

  • Support the management of customer orders and regional distribution activities.
  • Assist with delivery scheduling and monitoring through operational systems and planning tools.
  • Provide operational insight and data to support planning decisions.
  • Escalate service risks, constraints or operational issues appropriately.
  • Support the Operations & Distribution Manager in maximising opportunities through the MESS planning tool.

Team Coordination

  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Concrete Dispatch Coordinator team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and day-to-day support to colleagues.
  • Assist with performance management and team development activities.
  • Help foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing working environment.
  • Support call monitoring and quality scoring processes.
  • Manage office-based welfare facilities, standards, safety and general office administration.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management

  • Support the team in delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and processed.
  • Resolve routine customer queries and escalate more complex issues where necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help ensure customer service standards are consistently achieved.

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records relating to orders, batching and operational activities.
  • Ensure all processes are completed in line with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Monitor operational data and identify potential risks or anomalies.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to management when required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can confidently coordinate activities, support colleagues and maintain excellent customer service standards in a busy operational environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident using operational systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coordinating workloads, teams or operational activities is desirable.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
