Product Governance & Conduct Risk Manager – Lloyd’s Syndicate

London | 4 days a week

IDEX Consulting are exclusively representing a Lloyd’s syndicate in the appointment of a Product Governance & Conduct Risk Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance conduct professional to take full ownership of Product Governance, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty within a growing Lloyd’s business, with genuine scope to shape the framework, influence underwriting decisions and work directly with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Working in the 1st line you’ll operate at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Underwriters, Claims, Delegated Authority and senior leadership to ensure regulatory requirements are not simply implemented, but embedded effectively into the way the business operates.

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the underwriting decision-making process, rather than sitting on the sidelines providing policy advice.

The opportunity

You’ll have end-to-end ownership of Product Governance and Consumer Duty, acting as the subject matter expert and trusted business partner across the syndicate.

A key part of the role will be translating regulatory change into practical, commercially sensible solutions working with Underwriters to understand the impact of new requirements, challenge where necessary and ensure products continue to deliver good customer outcomes throughout their lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Taking ownership of product approval, product reviews and event-driven reviews, working directly with Underwriters and other business stakeholders.

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is the level of interaction with the underwriting business.

You won’t simply be reviewing policies or monitoring compliance from a distance. You’ll be sitting alongside Underwriters and business leaders, understanding how products are designed and distributed, challenging decisions where necessary and helping the business navigate regulatory change without unnecessarily slowing it down.

You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships across the syndicate and become the go-to person for Product Governance, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty.
