Role Description
The Conference and Events Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Haynes, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering association conferences and events. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Managing event timelines, budgets, and logistics
- Liaising with clients to understand requirements
- Overseeing venue sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management
- Coordinating registration processes, delegate communication, and event marketing materials
- Managing on-site operations such as set-up, technical support, and live issue resolution

The role involves collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events run smoothly and meet quality and service standards, while contributing to continuous improvement of processes and client offerings.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in conference and event management, including end-to-end planning, logistics, and on-site delivery.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to understand association needs, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and supplier relationships, including venue coordination and contract negotiation.
- Ability to coordinate registration systems, delegate communications, and event marketing or promotional materials.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on service quality.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working on-site at events, including occasional early starts, late finishes, and travel as required.
- Proficiency with standard office software and familiarity with event or project management tools; CRM or registration platforms experience is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an agency or association environment is beneficial.
- Relevant qualification in events management, hospitality, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
