Conference and Events Sales Executive

Newbury Racecourse is an award-winning sporting venue with a multi-functional site playing host to approximately 30 racedays per year, plus a wide range of other exciting non-racing events including: concerts, weddings, conferences, on-site hotel, and our award-winning Rocking Horse Nursery.

We are seeking a Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our team to maximise sales revenue and profitability of our Conference and Events Facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales driven professional who will relish the challenge of playing a key role in this outstanding venue.

The successful candidate in this role will:

  • Proactively represent Newbury Racecourse Conference & Events business to existing and potential clients
  • Proactively generate new leads to build and enhance the existing customer portfolio
  • Prepare detailed and accurate proposals
  • Produce contract documents in a timely manner
  • Manage the events diary and ensure the booking system is updated in real time to allow for accurate sales forecasting
  • Answer incoming enquiries via phone and email ensuring excellent customer service standards
  • Assist in building and enhancing long term client relationships, increasing client retention and referrals, and building new business
  • Attend client appointments, exhibitions, and events
