Conference Sales Executive – Yarnfield Park, Staffordshire | Full-Time / Permanent

£13.45PH + excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.

We’re looking for...

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded and customer-focused Conference Sales Executive to join our Sales team at Yarnfield Park.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves building relationships and turning enquiries into business. You’ll be responsible for securing new conference, meeting, training and accommodation business, managing clients through the sales journey and working closely with our wider venue teams to make sure every event is a success.

Conference Sales Executive – The Role

Working as part of the Sales team, you’ll play a key role in growing conference, training, meeting and accommodation business at Yarnfield Park.

  • Handle incoming enquiries from a variety of market sectors.
  • Develop and manage client accounts, building strong and lasting relationships.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Sales team to develop and grow major accounts.
  • Achieve personal sales targets and agreed KPIs.
  • Proactively generate conference, meeting and accommodation enquiries.
  • Manage the sales process from the initial enquiry through to signed contract.
  • Follow up enquiries proactively to maximise conversion and secure new business.
  • Conduct new business site tours at Yarnfield Park, showcasing the venue and its facilities.
  • Liaise with operational departments to ensure events are successfully delivered.
  • Support the delivery of familiarisation trips for clients and prospective customers.
  • Attend operational meetings where required and contribute to the smooth delivery of events.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales information and follow all relevant sales processes.
  • Adhere to all health & safety, quality procedures and venue standards.

  • Previous experience working in a conference, hotel or venue sales environment.
  • Experience in a related or aligned sales industry will also be considered.
  • A demonstrable track record of achieving sales results, ideally within the conference, meetings, events or hospitality sector.
  • Strong customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of building lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to speak with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to sales and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and diligent approach to your work.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a changing environment.
  • A reliable and dependable approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering for both clients and the wider team.
