Role Responsibilities
You will support the Conference & Events Sales function by driving enquiry conversion, maximising revenue opportunities and delivering exceptional client experiences. You will play a key role in coordinating events from initial enquiry through to handover, ensuring all client requirements are met in line with brand standards.
- Manage incoming conference and events enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed business by understanding client needs and promoting hotel facilities effectively.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and maximise revenue across all event bookings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents and key accounts to encourage repeat business.
- Conduct site visits and client show rounds to showcase the hotel’s meeting and event spaces.
- Prepare accurate proposals, contracts and event documentation in line with brand standards.
- Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to operational teams for smooth delivery.
- Support the planning and coordination of events, ensuring attention to detail at all stages.
- Work closely with the wider Sales and Operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain accurate records within sales systems and ensure all data is up to date.
- Monitor and follow up on provisional bookings to maximise conversion rates.
- Support revenue targets by actively driving sales performance and achieving KPIs.
- Ensure all processes and brand standards are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all hotel departments, supporting the wider team where required.
- Any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager

- Previous experience within a Conference & Events, Sales or hospitality environment
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and ability to use initiative
- Confident in building relationships and handling client interactions
- Sales-driven mindset with a proactive approach to achieving targets
- Strong administration and IT skills (experience with booking systems preferred)
- Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
