About the Role
As a Conference & Events Team Member at the EICC, you’ll help create exceptional experiences for clients and guests across conferences, exhibitions, dinners and major events.
This varied, hands-on role may include welcoming guests, supporting clients and colleagues, transforming event spaces, moving furniture and equipment, and helping with room turnarounds.
You’ll support event delivery, respond to operational requests and work closely with colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.

This is a variable hours role, with shifts offered in line with event needs. Evening and weekend flexibility is required.
We are specifically recruiting team members to support our Logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Customer Service
- Deliver consistently high customer service throughout events.
- Welcome and assist clients, guests and visitors professionally and inclusively.
- Act as an EICC ambassador when handling enquiries, requests or complaints.
- Support accessibility needs to help all guests feel comfortable.
- Respond proactively to guest and client needs, seeking support when needed.
Safety, Security & Emergency Procedures
- Stay aware of your surroundings and report any hazards, suspicious activity or security concerns.
- Help keep clients, guests and visitors safe and comfortable.
- Know and follow EICC emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Act as an Evacuation Marshal when required and follow emergency instructions.
- Carry out duties safely and follow EICC procedures.

Team Communication & Event Support
- Work with the team and wider EICC to help events run smoothly.
- Follow instructions from Duty Managers and Front of House Supervisors.
- Share clear handovers with colleagues on the next shift.
- Support the Client Team and work well with other departments.
- Communicate clearly and raise issues when needed.
- Know the venue and event spaces.
- Understand key EICC spaces, facilities and guest areas.
- Keep up to date with events so you can answer guest questions.
- Give clear directions and helpful information when needed.
Logistics Responsibilities
- Set up, break down and turn around event rooms to schedule.
- Move furniture, equipment and event items safely.
- Set up and remove signage and equipment as needed.
- Check event areas meet requirements and presentation standards.
- Prepare and reset event spaces before, during and after events.
- Respond quickly to operational requests during events.
- Keep storage areas clean, organised and safe.
- Support room changes and fast event turnarounds.

- Calm, confident, assertive and methodical when working in a busy environment.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable undertaking physically demanding work, including safely moving furniture and equipment, where required.
- Flexible in approach to working hours and duties in line with event and business requirements.
- First Aid trained would be advantageous but is not essential.
