Conference Producer (Contract/Freelance)

We're partnering with a leading global events business to hire an experienced Conference Producer on a contract/freelance basis to lead the development and delivery of high-profile B2B conferences across the ESG, Sustainable Finance, Investment, and Real Estate sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded conference producer who thrives on market research, content creation, speaker acquisition, and event strategy. You will take ownership of the full conference production lifecycle, working closely with senior industry stakeholders to create market-leading events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market, competitor, and stakeholder research to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • Develop event strategies and create compelling, commercially viable conference agendas.
  • Build strong relationships with senior industry leaders, investors, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage high-calibre speakers through proactive outreach.
  • Work closely with sponsors to incorporate appropriate content opportunities while maintaining audience value and agenda integrity.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and audience teams to ensure event success.
  • Support content marketing initiatives through copywriting, speaker promotion, and thought leadership content.
  • Drive the commercial performance of events through audience-focused content and market positioning.
  • Manage conference delivery on-site and contribute to post-event analysis and reporting.
  • Utilise AI tools to enhance research, speaker sourcing, content development, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within B2B Conference Production.
  • Strong conference agenda creation and content development experience.
  • Experience conducting market research and engaging directly with industry stakeholders.
  • Successful track record of identifying and securing senior-level speakers through outbound engagement.
  • Experience managing sponsor relationships and balancing commercial objectives with attendee value.
  • Ability to act as the project lead and take ownership of event strategy and delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of audience needs.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • ESG, Sustainability, Decarbonisation, Sustainable Finance, or Green Investing events.
  • Financial Services, Investment, Asset Management, or Capital Markets conferences.
  • Real Estate and Property sector conference experience.
  • Experience working with industry associations, institutional investors, or professional bodies.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and their application within research, content creation, and event production.

What We're Looking For

  • A content-led Conference Producer rather than an Operations-focused profile.
  • Someone with drive, curiosity, and a genuine passion for creating industry-leading events.
  • A confident communicator who can challenge stakeholders when needed and influence senior-level industry professionals.
  • A proactive individual capable of quickly taking ownership of a flagship event and delivering exceptional results.

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in office preferred)

Contract Type: 3 Months Contract

Sector Focus: ESG, Sustainable Finance, Investment & Real Estate Conferences
