Conference Production Manager
Location: London Blackfriars (Hybrid)
Length: Contract until March 2027
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Lead a Global Portfolio of Market-Leading Events
We're partnering with a leading international events and media organisation to recruit a Conference Production Manager on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the content and delivery of a portfolio of large-scale international conferences and exhibitions serving specialist global markets. Working within a fast-paced, commercial environment, you'll oversee multiple event projects while managing a team of experienced Conference Producers.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded events professional who thrives on leading people, managing complex projects and building strong stakeholder relationships.
The Role
As Conference Production Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of international B2B events, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with business objectives. You'll also lead and develop a team of Conference Producers based across the UK and North America.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Conference Producers.
- Manage multiple conference and exhibition projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.
- Oversee agenda development and content strategy across a portfolio of events.
- Support speaker acquisition, engagement and onboarding activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior industry leaders, speakers and commercial partners.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, editorial and operations teams to ensure successful event delivery.
- Drive best practice across conference production processes and project delivery.
- Manage projects and stakeholders across multiple international markets and time zones.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates from B2B conferences, exhibitions, events, media or other commercial event environments.
You'll bring:
- Previous people management experience with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience delivering commercial conferences, exhibitions or large-scale events.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable Experience
- Managing international event portfolios.
- Leading remote or globally distributed teams.
- Experience within technical, specialist or highly regulated sectors.
- Large-scale conference or exhibition experience.
Working Arrangements
International travel may be required, although flexibility can be accommodated where needed.
