Barrow, Broadoak, Filton, Frimley, and Weymouth
Contract Details
- 12-month contract
- 37 hours a week
- Hybrid working: 1-2 days onsite per month
Pay
- £53.73 PAYE or £72.54 Umbrella
- Inside IR35
Security Clearance
BPSS & SC - Subject to ITAR and UK eyes only
About the Role
Principal Engineer - Support Engineering (Configuration Control)
We're looking for a Configuration Control Engineer to support complex engineering programmes within the submarine division.
Working closely with Engineering and Project Management teams, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration baselines, managing design changes, and ensuring products and documentation are controlled throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain configuration management plans and baselines.
- Monitor configuration status and support change control activities.
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure configuration requirements are met.
- Support governance, reporting, and audit activities.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of engineering programmes.

Skills & Experience
- Experience in configuration management within an engineering environment.
- Good understanding of the engineering lifecycle.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of product structures such as WBS, PBS, and BOM is desirable.
- Engineering degree (or equivalent).
- CM2 certification would be beneficial.
