Configuration Management

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services, and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We are seeking a passionate Configuration Management professional to lead the definition, control, and evolution of complex rail system configurations. You will lead the Configuration and Change Management (CCM) and ensure that every design decision contributes to safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility solutions that move cities and people forward.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Drive configuration baselines and change control processes across multi-site engineering programs to ensure product integrity and traceability.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to align configuration data with project milestones and customer requirements.
  • Ensure reliability and compliance through rigorous application of configuration management tools such as PLM (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter).
  • Champion innovation by improving digital configuration workflows and automating data validation processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform Configuration Audits when required in Project/Program/Product execution.
  • Ensure all Change Requests are complete, clear, with full impact analysis (cost, schedule, quality, and risk) and managed end-to-end, with continuous stakeholder alignment and communication.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
