Configuration Manager

You will be joining one of Europe’s fastest-growing and most innovative defence technology companies, focused on protecting lives by neutralising emerging threats and advancing next-generation defensive capabilities.

This is a pivotal hire as the first Configuration Manager in the business, giving you the rare opportunity to build an entire configuration management function from the ground up. You will define, implement and continuously improve the processes, systems and frameworks that will underpin engineering excellence for years to come.

In this role, you will own the configuration and change management lifecycle across the organisation, ensuring that all technical data is controlled, released and maintained to the highest possible standards. You will work closely with engineering teams to capture, structure and manage data effectively, enabling clarity, traceability and quality across complex programmes.

You will establish and manage the PLM environment, including Teamcenter, creating scalable systems that support rapid innovation while maintaining robust governance. A big part of the role will involve building product and project baselines, supporting system and subsystem structures, and ensuring that configuration activities are delivered in line with agreed plans.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
