ENGINEERING CONFIGURATION MANAGER
£38 per hour via Umbrella
Initial contract until July 2027, with a likely extension
4 days per week onsite in Filton
BPSS clearance required

ABOUT THE CLIENT
We are recruiting for a leading aerospace organisation seeking an experienced Engineering Configuration Manager to join its Digital Wing team.
Working as part of the Wing Configuration Management team, you'll play a key cross-functional integration role across multiple aircraft programmes, working closely with Engineering, Programme, Airworthiness, Manufacturing and other supporting functions throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
THE ENGINEERING CONFIGURATION MANAGER ROLE
As an Engineering Configuration Manager, you'll manage and support Configuration Management activities across the Wing perimeter, ensuring processes are adhered to and delivered against time, cost and quality requirements.

You'll manage Engineering Change activities throughout the aircraft lifecycle, coordinate stakeholders across multiple programmes and support the implementation of Configuration Management processes, tools and best practice.
The role will involve managing engineering change deliverables, supporting CM Project Management and Lean PLM activities, managing workload priorities and ensuring risks to aircraft delivery are identified and addressed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an experienced Configuration Management professional with a strong understanding of the end-to-end engineering change process, ideally gained within an aerospace or engineering environment.
You'll ideally have:
- An Engineering/Aeronautical degree, or HNC/equivalent with 5+ years' Configuration Management experience
- Full understanding of Technical and Engineering Change Management
- Experience managing engineering change throughout the product/aircraft lifecycle
- Experience working across Engineering, Programme, Manufacturing, Airworthiness and/or In-Service functions
- Configuration Management Toolset Experience
- Experience with the following would be advantageous: ICC-CADB, ICC-ACP, MCT – Mod Closure Tool, PrimesCCM, DPDS, ACC2, PDM tools, Product Structure across Structure, Systems Installation and Equipment domains and LeanPLM
