Our client is a global energy & commodity trading group; recognized as one of the most exciting and commercially driven Commodity Trading houses in the industry!

As the Confirmations Analyst, you will sit within the Financial Operations team, making sure trades executed across multiple legal entities are captured accurately and confirmed within required timeframes.

The role covers a variety of products including European Power & Gas, LNG, Oil derivatives, Emissions, Precious Metals and FX, so you will build genuine breadth across the commodity complex.

Alongside confirmations, you will own the daily regulatory reporting cycle end to end - exception management, resubmission and reconciliation against trade repositories. It is a role with real ownership: you will be the person accountable for getting the day's reporting clean and the point of contact when something breaks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Confirmations:

  • Interpret trade bookings and amendments across the full product range.
  • Generate, review and issue confirmations for OTC trades.
  • Investigate and reconcile breaks, escalating to the right stakeholders with a clear picture of the issue.
  • Work across the relevant master agreement and confirmation frameworks.
  • Monitor daily KPIs, making sure aged items and outstanding issues are cleared promptly.
  • Prioritise and escalate risk items.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
