Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking an experienced Conflicts Advisor to join its London Risk function on a permanent basis.

The Firm

Our client is a leading international law firm with a strong presence across key global markets. The firm is recognised for advising on complex, high-value matters across disputes, regulatory, transactional and sector-focused work, with a particularly strong international client base.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a conflicts professional to join a sophisticated global risk function and work closely with senior lawyers across the firm. The role offers broad international exposure, with regular involvement in complex client and matter intake issues and close collaboration with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing proposed new clients and matters to identify potential legal, commercial and reputational conflicts
  • Carrying out detailed research using internal systems and external sources to support risk assessments
  • Working closely with Partners and lawyers to provide practical guidance on conflicts and confidentiality issues
  • Supporting the assessment of wider risk considerations, including sanctions, financial crime and reputational concerns
  • Advising on the appropriate use and management of information barriers
  • Liaising with colleagues across the wider Risk and Financial Crime teams on complex or higher-risk matters
  • Collaborating with international conflicts teams to ensure consistency and continuity across global workflows
  • Contributing to improvements in conflicts processes, systems and internal risk procedures
  • Managing a varied caseload while maintaining a high level of accuracy, judgement and commercial awareness

Requirements

At least 3 years’ experience within conflicts, risk or a related legal or professional services environment
