Conflicts Advisor

About the Role

An international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Advisor to join its global New Business & Enterprise Risk function. This is an excellent opportunity for a legally trained professional to play a key role in managing conflicts of interest, information barriers, and matter risk assessments across a global practice.

Working closely with partners, lawyers, and risk professionals across the UK, US, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, you will help ensure new clients and matters are onboarded in accordance with the firm's risk management framework and professional obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage conflict checks on new matters across multiple jurisdictions, identifying and helping resolve legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
  • Review new client and matter opportunities using internal and external research tools.
  • Advise partners and lawyers on conflicts, information barriers, and risk management procedures.
  • Assess broader risks including reputational, sanctions, financial crime, and AML considerations.
  • Work closely with Financial Crime and Matter Management teams on matter risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with global conflicts teams to ensure consistent service delivery and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of conflicts and information barrier management systems and processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
