We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Conflicts Lawyer.
This is a new role in their London office, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, whereby the successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing conflicts searches, approving new clients and matters, and providing a new business intake service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analysing conflicts reports to identify conflicts of interest and issues.
- Performing corporate and regulatory research using online tools and external databases to verify new clients.
- Preparing conflict summaries for Partners to outline conflict/ business issues and resolutions.
- Reviewing and approving new business forms.
- Advising and assisting new business intake policy and procedures.
- Drafting engagement letters, screens, and conflict waivers.
- Attending weekly meetings, sharing knowledge, and suggesting improvements.
- Updating knowledge on current professional conduct rules and conflicts regulations.

The firm are offering a competitive salary & benefits package, and 3:2 hybrid working arrangements are in place.
Suitable candidates will have a strong knowledge of SRA and ABA conduct rules, admission to a law society or bar, and high commercial awareness. We are seeking applicants with exemplary legal analysis, attention to detail, communication, and organisation skills.

Demonstrated experience in conflicts or new business intake within a large international law firm, AML knowledge, and experience with compliance screening tools is highly desired.
