About The Role
This role is a two-year fixed-term contract/ secondment.

We are looking for a Connections Customer Stakeholder Officer (Publications) to join the Connections Engagement Team. This role will take ownership of NESO's connections publications and guidance portfolio, ensuring customers have access to clear, accurate and accessible information to support them throughout the connections process. Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders from across NESO and wider industry, you will lead the planning, production and continuous improvement of a comprehensive suite of customer-facing guidance materials. You will coordinate publications from concept to delivery, including content development, copy editing, document production, publication scheduling and quality assurance, ensuring information remains current, consistent and customer-focused and has been customer tested.
You will play a key role in translating complex technical and regulatory information into clear and engaging content, while managing publication workflows and supporting the design and presentation of customer-facing materials.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong writing, editorial and publication management experience who is passionate about helping customers navigate complex processes. Knowledge of the energy sector or connections landscape would be beneficial but is not essential.
This role is a two-year fixed-term contract and can be based Warwick, Wokingham or Glasgow, with hybrid working available.

Key Accountabilities
- Own and manage the Connections customer publications and guidance portfolio, ensuring customers have access to clear, accurate, accessible and up-to-date information throughout the connections process.
- Lead the planning, production and maintenance of customer-facing guidance, coordinating subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content remains relevant, consistent and aligned with programme priorities.
- Translate complex technical, regulatory and policy information into clear, engaging and customer-focused content that supports understanding and informed decision making.
- Manage publication workflows from concept to delivery, including content development, copy editing, quality assurance, document production, publication scheduling and version control including customer testing.
- Coordinate the design and presentation of customer-facing publications, working with internal and external design resources to ensure materials meet NESO brand and accessibility standards.
- Establish and maintain effective publication governance, ensuring customer guidance is regularly reviewed, updated and improved in response to programme changes and customer feedback.
- Build strong relationships across NESO to gather content, challenge unclear messaging and champion high-quality customer communications and guidance.

Essential Skills And Attributes
- Significant experience managing publications, document suites or knowledge resources within a complex, regulated or fast-paced environment.
- Strong publication production management skills, with experience coordinating multiple documents through drafting, review, approval, publication and ongoing maintenance processes.
- Excellent writing, copy editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and accessible content for a range of audiences.
- Experience translating complex technical, regulatory or policy information into engaging, customer-focused guidance and communications.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contributors and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to coordinate subject matter experts, challenge unclear content and drive quality improvements.
- A strong customer focus, with a commitment to ensuring information is easy to understand, relevant and valuable to the end user.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Desirable Skills And Attributes
- Experience managing document design, accessibility and branding requirements, working with internal or external design resources.
- Knowledge of the energy sector, network connections process or wider regulatory environment.
- Experience developing or maintaining customer guidance, regulatory publications or technical documentation.
- Experience using customer feedback and insight to improve publications and information products.

What You'll Get
- A competitive salary of £50,000 - £63,000 dependent on experience and capability
- A bonus based on company performance
- 26 days annual leave as standard
- A competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
