This Level 2 Support Worker Apprenticeship with Consensus is the perfect opportunity to earn while you learn.
You'll gain hands-on experience, receive full training and work towards a nationally recognised qualification all while being paid from day one.
As a Support Worker Apprentice, you'll learn how to:
- Support adults with learning disabilities to live happy, independent and fulfilling lives.
- Encourage people to take part in hobbies, social activities and community events.
- Build positive relationships and support individuals to achieve their goals.
- Promote independence, confidence and life skills.
- Support with personal care where required, always maintaining dignity and respect.
- Work as part of a friendly and supportive team.
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Course contents include:
- Working in line with legislation, policies, standards, local ways of working and codes of conduct.

- Supporting with appointments, enquiries and referrals.
- Communicating with individuals.
- Recognising and responding to limitations in mental capacity.
- Acting on opportunities to support health and well-being.
- Recording and storing information securely.
- Reporting and sharing information securely.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Moving and handling equipment.
- Taking action in response to identified concerns.
- Participating in appraisal and supervision.
- Participating in training and development activities.
- Reflecting on own practice.
- Contributing to improvement activities.
