This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone with strong hands-on consolidation systems experience, previous partner-side consulting experience, and the ability to lead the full architecture lifecycle from discovery and design workshops through to build, delivery, and adoption.
The role will focus predominantly on consolidation and reporting transformation, while also offering the opportunity to broaden into modern FP&A and planning technology over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading end-to-end solution architecture across consolidation and reporting projects
- Running design workshops with senior finance, reporting, and controllership stakeholders
- Translating complex consolidation requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Owning solution design, model architecture, build, testing, and deployment
- Advising clients on best practice across consolidation, close, reporting, and governance
- Supporting hands-on configuration and build across consolidation technology projects
- Acting as the senior technical point of contact across delivery, scope, and solution quality
- Working closely with client stakeholders to improve reporting processes and reduce manual workarounds
- Supporting the development of a growing consolidation practice
- Remaining open to learning and supporting wider planning and FP&A technologies where required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
