Construction and Design Manager

Business Unit: 5230 - Hounslow

Location: Hounslow

Job Role

Ringway is seeking a Design & Construction Manager to join the Hounslow contract, leading a team responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of highways and infrastructure projects across the borough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware and driven leader with experience managing construction projects, supply chains and stakeholder relationships within a highways environment.

Duties

  • Lead the delivery of capital works and highways improvement programmes.
  • Manage resurfacing, renewal, regeneration and public realm projects.
  • Oversee developer-led and third-party schemes.
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Engineers.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and supply chain relationships.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
  • Monitor programme performance and financial performance across a portfolio valued at approximately £5m-£7m.
  • Represent Ringway at client, stakeholder and leadership meetings.

Person Specification

  • Highways construction or project management experience.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • Experience managing supply chains and subcontractors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing technical teams.
  • Commitment to health, safety and operational excellence.

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and professional membership with ICE, CIHT or a similar body would be beneficial, but are not essential.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
