Construction & Engineering Associate / Senior Associate

Location: Leeds (hybrid working, 2 to 3 days from home)
Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 plus bonus and benefits
Experience: 5+ years’ PQE

If you are an experienced construction lawyer and you want to join a team with real momentum, this is a brilliant time to make a move. Our client has invested heavily in their Construction and Engineering offering, with new leadership in place and ambitious plans for growth. You will be joining at a point where you can make an impact from day one, while building a long-term career in a supportive, high-performing environment.

This opportunity suits someone already operating at Senior Associate level, or an experienced Associate ready for the next step. The work is high quality, the team is well regarded in the market, and you will be encouraged to shape the next phase of growth rather than simply “slot in”. You will advise a broad range of clients across construction, real estate and energy, working on a varied mix of complex and interesting matters. While the ideal is someone with a blend of contentious and non-contentious experience, strong non-contentious lawyers who want to broaden their practice are very much encouraged.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
