Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving the sales and growth of our Construction machinery and equipment within your designated territory. You will actively promote our leading brands, identify new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with both new and existing customers. Working with our established customer base, you will focus on developing long-term partnerships while also proactively seeking new opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold calling. You will deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert advice to help customers find the right solutions for their needs.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within construction and/or agricultural equipment
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and machinery
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both face-to-face and via phone/email
  • Ability to manage existing customer accounts and build long-term relationships
  • Demonstrated capability to identify new sales opportunities, upsell, and close deals
  • Target-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Confident in influencing, persuading, and negotiating with customers
  • Experience demonstrating equipment to customers when required
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High level of computer literacy, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Practical use of Google Maps for route planning and customer visits
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently while also being an effective team player
  • Professional, smart and presentable appearance
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to maintain consistent performance
  • Good understanding of and adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to attend training to maintain product knowledge and compliance
  • Holds a full, valid driving licence and can maintain a clean, safe vehicle
  • Maintains a good general level of health and fitness to meet role demands

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidates notice period.
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch) Additional hours as required which may include weekends as per rota especially during peak periods.
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience plus commission and company car
