Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor

Location: London

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience + benefits

We are working with a highly regarded international law firm, who are seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their well-established construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with around 3–7 years' PQE to work on a broad range of high-value and complex construction matters, alongside experienced partners and leading practitioners in the market.

The team advises a wide range of clients including developers, investors, contractors, funders and other stakeholders across major development, infrastructure and real estate projects. The work is varied and commercially focused, providing excellent exposure to sophisticated construction transactions and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters across major development, real estate and infrastructure projects.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, including JCT, NEC and bespoke forms of contract.
  • Advising on appointments, collateral warranties, performance security, bonds, guarantees and other construction-related documentation.
  • Advising developers, investors, contractors, funders and other stakeholders on the construction aspects of major projects.
  • Supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of projects, from initial procurement and contract negotiation through to completion.
  • Working closely with colleagues across real estate, projects, finance and other practice areas to provide clients with a comprehensive service.
  • Advising on procurement strategies, risk allocation, contractual obligations and project structures.
  • Negotiating with counterparties and their legal advisers and providing commercially focused advice on contractual and project risks.
  • Drafting and reviewing amendments, side letters, development agreements and other ancillary construction documentation.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and taking an active role in understanding clients' commercial objectives.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including client events, seminars, articles, networking and wider marketing activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
