Client Manager (Construction Specialist) | Future Partner
Location: Fully Remote (UK) with occasional meetings in Mayfair, London
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Future Equity Opportunity

Knightwell Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a modern, cloud-based Accountancy Practice that specialises exclusively within the Construction sector.
Due to continued growth, we're looking to appoint an ambitious ACA, ACCA or ICAS Qualified Client Manager / Senior Manager who is looking for more than just another practice role. This is a genuine opportunity to work alongside the Partners, manage your own portfolio, lead a team and play a key role in the future growth of the firm, with a clear route towards Partnership and future equity.
The Role
Working directly with the Partners, you'll be responsible for managing an established portfolio of construction clients whilst leading a team of UK and offshore accountants.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of SME construction clients.
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax work.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients.
- Leading and mentoring a team of 4-5 UK accountants together with an offshore team.
- Conducting client meetings and providing commercial advice.
- Identifying opportunities to introduce additional accounting, tax and advisory services.
- Supporting business development and helping grow the practice.
- Improving internal systems, processes and operational efficiency.
- Working closely with the Partners on strategic growth initiatives.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you should have:
- ACA, ACCA or ICAS Qualified.
- Previous UK Accountancy Practice experience.
- Currently working as a Client Manager, Assistant Manager, Portfolio Manager or Practice Manager.
- Experience managing a portfolio of SME clients.
- Strong experience working with Construction sector clients.
- Excellent technical knowledge including:
- CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
- Construction VAT
- FRS 102
- Corporation Tax
- Directors' Loan Accounts
- Loss Relief
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ambition to progress towards Partnership.
