I'm recruiting on behalf of one of Ireland's leading Main Contractors for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their leadership team in Dublin. The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, providing strategic leadership to Project Managers and site teams while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects across residential, commercial, conservation, and specialist sectors.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Project Managers, Site Managers, and project teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop, review, and monitor construction programmes, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Chair project meetings and provide regular commercial and operational updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, quality management systems, and company procedures.
- Oversee project resources, sequencing, and delivery strategies to maximise programme efficiency.
- Work closely with Commercial, Design, Procurement, and Technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Support project planning, design coordination, procurement, and successful project handover.
- Mentor and develop project teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Required Experience, Qualifications & Skills

- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum 15 years' experience delivering complex construction projects.
- At least 5 years' experience operating at Contracts Manager level.
- Proven experience successfully managing multiple concurrent projects valued between €10m-€30m or above.
- Strong background delivering residential, commercial, healthcare, conservation, or similarly complex construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish construction regulations, health & safety legislation, and quality standards.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance programme, quality, and financial performance.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced project environments.
- Passionate about mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement.
- Full driving licence.
