Contracts Manager
Location: Scotland
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Activus Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction company based in Aberdeenshire. With over 30 years of industry experience, our client has established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK, ranging from concrete and civil engineering to main contracting and design & build. They pride themselves on teamwork, technical excellence, and consistently delivering results that exceed client expectations. As the company continues to grow, our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to complement its existing project teams and ensure safe, profitable, high-quality construction operations across a range of projects in the UK.
The Role
As a Contracts Manager, you will own assigned projects, managing resources, staff, and subcontractors while maintaining client satisfaction and company standards. You’ll play a pivotal role in planning, execution, and commercial oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects safely, promoting a zero-accident culture
- Plan, allocate, and monitor labour, plant and materials
- Ensure quality standards and client requirements are consistently met
- Manage and develop operatives, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Oversee budgets, costs, and recovery to maximise profitability
- Support business development and tendering activities
- Prepare and maintain programmes for construction works
About You
- Proven experience managing construction projects and teams
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, HSE, quality, and commercial management
- Skilled in planning, resource allocation, and problem-solving
- Professional, proactive, and client-focused
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and project priorities
- Comfortable travelling across the UK to various sites, and to Aberdeenshire for meetings regularly.
